What does the integration do?

The integration keeps your newsletter list in Mailchimp and your customer records in GECKO up to date at the same time.

By connecting you achieve:

• Newsletter sign-ups and unsubscribes in GECKO are registered in Mailchimp
• Newsletter unsubscribes in Mailchimp are registered in GECKO
• You can use the best features from both systems
• Option to transfer all existing customers who have opted in to the newsletter to Mailchimp – or export them as a csv file

How to get started

1. Go to Settings → Integrations and click See more under Mailchimp.
2. Click Connect and log in with your Mailchimp account to grant GECKO access. Alternatively you can enter your API key and your server prefix (the part shown before .admin.mailchimp.com in your Mailchimp address) manually.
3. Tick Activate integration to Mailchimp.
4. Under Connect to list, choose which Mailchimp list (audience) the customers should be placed on.
5. Check that Webhook – Callback url shows a green status. This is the address Mailchimp reports unsubscribes back to.
6. Optionally select Transfer address if addresses should be sent along as well.
7. Save with Update.
8. To bring your current recipients across, tick Transfer all customers who have opted in on newsletter to Mailchimp and save again.
